90 Degree Face
Term used in veneer core plywood. The top layer of the plwyood is applied at a 90 degree angle to the material below it. This creates a stronger panel through the use of the concept of cross banding. Two pieces of material with the grain running parallel is weaker than two pieces of material with the grain running perpendicular.
