All Purekori FSCi ACQi preservative treated lumber is manufactured with high quality, kilni dried, western Hem/Fir lumber. All lumber is S4Si, double end trimmed (DETi), with Eased Edges (E/Ei) and is graded and grade stamped under NLGAi rules. This product is kiln dried after treatment to remove excess moisture and make it lighter in weight for shipping purposes.
Purekori FSCi ACQi preservative treated lumber is produced using the new ACQ preservative and process. ACQ is a highly effective wood preservative and is used to replace the previous chemical CCAi (Chromated Copper Arsenate). ACQ has been introduced as a safer alternative to CCA because it does not leech chemicals into the environment. This product is incised with small cuts before treatment to help ensure the chemicals that are used to treat this material can penetrate fully when placed into the vacuum chamber where the process takes place.
It is critical that users of this product only use approved fasteners. These approved fasteners have been tested to ensure there is no chemical or mechanical reaction between the treated lumber and the fasteners. Please review this information and only use the approved fasteners.
Purekori FSCi ACQi Preservative Treated Lumber is ideal where the building code requires the use of a preservative in conjunction with FSC Certification. This material is certified under Panel Source Chain of Custodyi number SCS-COC-00569.
